“Have you forgotten that we invented time? That clocks did not exist in any real way until the 14th century? That hours and minutes and seconds, to the ancients, were measured in breaths and blinks, sunlight and moonlight, soil fecundity and menstrual cycles, the howls of the coyotes and the migrations of the birds? Of course you have. This is the magic of time. It swallows collective memory.”—Hurry up, get more done, and die. Plus, 7 essential cross-disciplinary books to understand time. (via hereiswonderland)
Everyone deals with it, I am told, everyone has doubts, everyone has questions, and everyone gets over it. I am told that this is normal. I am told that this is even considered a stage. And yet, I am not told how to get through this stage, how to believe again. I am thrust into a dishonorable world with brainwashed people who hold illogical ideals close, and yet, I am not told how to become one of them. I am alienated because I cannot believe something that I don’t believe in, I am told to feel comfort from the fact that eventually I, too, will become brainwashed, but I am not told how to change my perceptions.
I am told to be strong in my faith, but I have no faith. How can I tell myself something I don’t believe in?

Why you should listen: It’s time to take a most sensational, inspirational, celebrational and Muppetational trip down memory lane. So I recently found the Muppets Green Album, and oh my god you guys. Best. Album. Ever. I’ve been wanting to post a song from this album for a while, but I couldn’t decide which song to do since they are all so perfect, so I decided to post this one first. Now I don’t know about you, but when I was little the Muppets where my favourite everything. If you are like me, then I think you will thoroughly enjoy this song and the rest of the album (which I will post eventually). This whole album is just really fun, cute and unbelievably sweet, and this song is especially great; OK Go I think where the perfect people for it. The music video for this as well is so great, I couldn’t stop laughing (because I will never not find the Muppets funny ok).
